Turtle Feathers stocks, and officially recommends, three sets of Loew-Cornell paint brushes for use with our paints. Brush Set #650 has nine brushes, six of which are intended for fine detail. We suggest this set for anyone expecting to do much fine detail work. Paint Brush Set #656 is a General Purpose set, consisting of eight brushes, three of which are on the wide side, with the other five best suited for detail work, though not as fine a detail as can be achieved with Set #650. Paint Brush Set #662, another General Purpose set, also has eight brushes, four of which are on the wide side, with the remaining four, as with Set #650, best suited for detail work. Again, the potential fineness of detail of these brushes is not as fine as with Set #650.
Customizers should find any of these Loew-Cornell sets sufficient to produce excellent work. Turtle Feathers recommends, in combination with Set #650 (focused on fine brushes), either of the General Purpose sets. This combination of brushes should meet virtually any need. Beware cheap 'hobby store' brushes. We have heard so many accounts of work compromised because poor quality brushes were used, that it was deemed essential to offer our customers better products than are often available locally; products that can be counted upon.
These glass mixing jars are ideal when custom blending paints. They are heavyweight, 1 1/4 ounce glass jars, with a huge 1 3/8" opening, making them very easy to use. Top customizers have requested that Turtle Feathers stock mixing jars, and we have got the best.
The Duller is available in a 4 ounce bottle, and comes with an eye dropper for precise mixing. The standard mixing ratio is 1 1/2ml of duller to a 1 ounce bottle of paint. The mixing ratio of the duller can be customized to the artisan's specific requirements. Well respected shoe painters recommend as much as 4.5 ml of duller per 1 ounce of paint. By making this product available separately, and not incorporating it directly into our Leather Paint, every artist can create a unique custom look. We know of no other source for this essential product. Additional eye droppers are also available separately.

Turtle Feathers recommends InLace Metallic Dusts as an additive for customizing the Neutral paint. The Metallic Dusts add a 'glimmer' and 'shimmer' to the Neutral paint. (They are not 'officially' recommended for use with other colors.)
