Two major sections compose this booklet; 'Pine Needle Basketry', and 'Gourd Vessels'. About two-thirds of the booklet is given to the former.
Techniques presented in section I are 'Double Buttonhole Stitch'; 'Teneriffe Patterns; 'Three Leaf or Arrow Pattern'; 'Three Leaf Swirl Pattern'; 'Figure Eight Pattern'; Wrapped Beginnings'; 'Basic Pine Needle Stitches' - which include the following: 'Chain Stitch or Whip Stitch', 'Wheat Stitch', 'Swirling Wheat Stitch', 'Fern Stitch', 'Fagoting Stitch', and 'Adding Beads'; 'Attaching the Pine Needle Coil to a Wrapped Form'; and 'Ending and Adding New Thread'.
Following the introduction of the techniques associated with pine needle basketry, several pine needle projects are presented. 'Small Beaded Basket', 'Walnut Tray', 'Bone Bead Small Tray', 'Antler Basket', 'Pine Needle Bracelet', 'Figure 8 Tray', 'Turquoise Tulip Basket' (with lid), 'Pine Needle Pendant', and 'Porcupine Quill Basket' (with lid). One or two pages of the booklet is given to each project.
Section II of Nature's Touch: Pine Needle and Gourd Basketry is devoted to creating 'Gourd Vessels'. The projects presented in the gourd section are: 'Gourd Vessel', 'Miniature Gourd Vessel', 'Mini Gourd Vessel', and 'Buffalo Gourd Vessel'; each of which are given two or three pages of instructions and notes.
